There are many forms of photography. I consider myself simply a recorder of that which I find of interest around me. I personally have no desire to create or stage direct ideas.

Non è mio principale interesse inventare storie da raccontare con una o più fotografie. Ho visto parecchi tentativi di questo tipo e purtroppo li ho trovati spesso più ingenui che efficaci.
In alcune fotografie troviamo significati ed emozioni che vanno oltre il soggetto e l'illuminazione, ma sono convinto che questo sia il risultato di una serie di fattori che non dipendono dalla scrittura della cosiddetta "storia", ossia di quella specie di sceneggiatura fotografica che spesso mi viene chiesta e che ho sempre sempre ammesso di non avere.
Spiegato il significato delle due citazioni sopra, mi resta da scrivere che nelle immagini di questo sito, se avrete il tempo di guardarle, non troverete la ripetizioni di ambientazioni, illuminazione e postprocessing uguali. Per questo motivo spero che non siate tra le persone che considerano la realizzazione di fotografie sempre uguali, in cui cambia solo la persona ritratta, un sinonimo di stile fotografico, purtroppo per me è semplicemente indice di monototonia e talvolta di scarsa capacità.

[It is not my main interest to invent stories to tell with one or more photographs. I have seen several such attempts and sadly have often found them to be more naive than effective.
In some photographs we find meanings and emotions that go beyond the subject and the lighting, but I am convinced that this is the result of a series of factors that do not depend on the writing of the so-called "story", i.e. of that sort of photographic script that often I'm asked and I've always always admitted I don't have.
